What is pain?
Suffering through life
Hurt through injury
Or simply being unhappy

I know of no greater pain
Than that of my heart breaking
No hardship is harder
No drug more harmful

Such pain do I feel
No cure to be seen
But that of my Lord God
Who suffered all I did

He sent His own Son
To suffer what we do
To endure everything
That life has to throw

As a young boy
He grew like us
Being hurt by friends and all
As he was human like us

But then that boy
Grew to suffer the greatest pain
A curse from God
To die ON A TREE!

So what is pain?
To endure a curse from God
Is what I would consider pain
This world is nothing

In the end we will be free
Free from pains and suffering
But those who reject God
Will suffer and endure
Under God’s curse
