The Unknown Journey

The wind blows
But cannot be seen
The grains of sand
Too many to count
The journey
Unknown and hidden
Each day a new experience
Not knowing when it ends
But curious to what it holds
Ready to go ahead

As any journey
It is full of dangers
Full of trials
The hills and plains
Travelled by so many
Lead to a place unknown
Many stories of the destination
But none know it’s true beauty
Beyond the words of man
Unfathomable by man’s wisdom

The unknown place
Said to be beautiful
Roads made from pure gold
A crystal clear stream
Right down the middle
Buildings made from gems
Jasper, Sapphire, Chalcedony,
Emerald, Sardonyx, Carnelian,
Chrysolite, Beryl, Topaz,
Chrysoprase, Jascinth, Amethyst

The journey has come to an end
I look up at the great city
The walls of the city
Made from the gem, Jasper
Each gate one huge pearl
I stand in awe
Taking in it’s great beauty
Then I see the gates open
Everything I have heard is there
I walk in to my journey end
