A New Day

When I wake up this morning
The coming day passes through my mind
The new day unfolds before me
What it holds unknown

Laying there in bed
Wondering what the day holds
Pondering on the things to be discovered
The new day ahead is a new adventure

As I prepare myself for the new day
I think on the days past
Each day different from the rest
With different things to discover

The new day ahead has many surprises
It’s wonders neverending
The challenges are awesome
Some beyond my abilities

Yet I embrace the day head on
Never missing a single moment
A great adventure becomes of it
And as it ends I await the next new day
