Torn World

In remembrance of the attack on Sept. 11th 2001.

A world began long ago
Man knowing only how to live
Knowing only how to survive
Not realising the future battles ahead

Man lived simple lives
He learnt from experience
And slowly he learnt
The ways of evil

Now man sought to destroy
To destroy his neighbour
Destroy all he had lived with
In the end, only to destroy life

He created instruments of war
He fought against his own brother
He fought until one was dead
Where has this led us to?

Now, the world is torn
Between good and evil
Is there such things?
Who will win in this torn world?
