James 1:14
It has taken a month for this to really sink in. It’s not that I didn’t understand the truth of this verse or the principle that lay behind it, but the reality and depth of this verse didn’t hit me fully until Sunday past. In this verse James says:
“…but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.”
James has just said that God Himself does not tempt people and, now, tells us clearly and simply that our temptations are birthed by our own evil desires. There’s not much else to it and, yet, this took me a month to fully grasp.
Over the last month or so, I have had the opportunity (again) to meet some amazing people. These people, while not necessarily famous, are extremely gifted in their respective areas. I am extremely blessed to know these people and journey with them through life and where they are heading. Today, I’m sitting in on a band practice and here’s just a small collage that I put together:

My house on Google maps: street view. I have to admit, it is kinda cool. While this probably amuse me for the next 5 minutes, I think it’s actually a useful tool for finding hard-to-get-to places. For all the fuss about privacy, I completely understand, but realise that this isn’t a 24-hour view. Anyway, my 5 minutes of amusement are over. Back to real life. Next time you come over, you know what my place looks like. Ciao.
I don’t believe in accidents. Random, sure. Unplanned, sure. Unintended, sure. Coincidence, nope. I had one of the most random, unplanned, unintended meetings on Saturday. What I thought would last, say, two hours ended up lasting for the good space of about 6 hours…
